My father booked a package holiday to travel and they booked PCR test to be done 2 days before the departure. The problem was that the government travel passes for the country they were visiting, had not arrived, and the airline will not let you travel if they don't see the travel pass. We liaised with the travel agent who were brilliant and at the 11th hour the passes were issued. We contacted the PCR test company and they had no slots available for the PCR test. Luckily we live near the airport and the prices are pretty competitive and we got same day PCR tests as time was of the essence, and this was successfully delivered. We now need to get a refund from DAM healthcare. I called them on behalf of my father and they cant issue any refunds, but a credit note. what is the best way to go forward? They paid with a credit card and it was over £100 the total bill for 2 pax. Thank you,

You bought something you no longer want, so it depends on the refund policy of the company.

There seems to be no contractual issue here, so the credit note will likely be the best you'll get in these particular circumstances. It may be worth asking if they can make them transferable if you (or someone else) is going away in the near future and wants to 'buy' them from you.
