National insurance tax rise and CMS

Posting as a reminder to all those paying CMS with an assessment in place that the upcoming national insurance tax rise will not affect your assessment and will not reduce the amount you need to pay the parent with care. So especially with the current costs of living pressures those in such a position will need to think even more carefully about budgeting, the effect on any new family or yourself and the effect on the child subject to the assessment when they are with you for any contact.
It is worth remembering the government can increase tax and ni to whatever percentage they need 50%, 60% and your cms assessment will remain the same to be paid out of whatever remains of your post tax income.
