Jump in, these are the best you'll get imo, due to the way markets have swung over the last 48 hours.
They do a one year ISA at 3.85%, 2 at 4.3% too.
Why do you reckon these rates are the best we'll get? Could a u-turn on the mini-budget affect rates?
I've got money from a house sale that I want to fix and I'm unsure whether to fix now, or wait, or do the fix-ladder thing.
The suspense of having to wait 3 weeks till the November 3rd BoE meeting is killing me lol.

One, 2 year gilt yields down 0.3% today.
Markets believe the u turn will happen. The "U-turn" could fail to arise, but this would be catastrophic as the markets have fully priced this in. If they didn't back down now it would cause a horrible liquidity crisis in pension funds that I don't think BoE could fix.
In terms of interest rates, I think BoE will follow whatever the Fed does, as will the rest of the world.

Still plenty of accounts have a 14 day funding window. I'd open these and wait and see.

  • Nah, it’s speculation isn’t it. Was Kwasi Kwarteng sent packing with his tail between his legs by the yanks, or was he recalled by the PM. The banks want to suck your money in quick before the next interest rate rise that's coming soon....

  • Kent Reliance 4.45% 1 year, 4.75% 2 year.
In case you don’t bank with KR, just to let you know I had this email a few days ago.

  • Is there some kind of tool anywhere on the internet to compare ISA rates with taxed savings rates (with tax applied)?

Just divide ISA rates by 0.8 or multiply non ISA by 0.8

Or 0.6 if you are a higher rate taxpayer.
    0.55 if additional rate.

    Thank you

I have opened the one year ISA - needs to be funded with £1000 within 7 days and then the rest within 30 days. I can transfer the first amount now, but will wait until 3/11 before committing anymore.

Just spoken to Coventry after waiting for 40 minutes. They’ve withdrawn all their fixed accounts. I opened the 4.40% bond with them and they told me I have until 11 November to deposit into it.
They removed their fixed rate isas as well!
