I've got an Aldermore fixed rate (0.85%) due to expire June 1st - they have their Double Access (1.25% variable ) but the Shawbrook 6 month 2% is a better deal so I've just opened the Shawbrook very quickly as already a customer.

It’s kinda crazy that they upped it from 1.1% to 2% overnight

From Trust Pilot (not me)
4 attempts to get through on the phone. took over 45 minutes to speak to someone who sounded so uninterested. Did not have a very good experience at all. Really disappointed.

Another from T Pilot- again not me
My mother died last year and I have been trying to tie up her financial affairs over the course of the past couple of months. Shawbrook have had the Grant of Probate since 8 April and I am still waiting to receive the proceeds of the account my late mother had with them. I have dealt with 6 or 7 other financial institutions in connection with my late mother's affairs and they took between 7-18 days to bring matters to a conclusion. Shawbrook is the only account which remains unpaid. My numerous emails have been ignored, as are the 3 secure messages I sent via their website. Its virtually impossible to speak to a human being on the telephone. Its very frustrating, at a very difficult time, and I find Shawbrook's conduct in this matter and their complete lack of customer service to a bereaved customer to be completely unacceptable and unhelpful.0 -
I have had a number of savings accounts with Shawbrook over the years. The most recent one was an ISA which matured in the last couple of weeks. I can only praise how quickly and professionally they handled any inquiries I made via their messaging facility. Providing the maturity instructions is easy, any ISA transfer requests (in and out) are processed promptly, the ability to add to fixed term accounts often for months after opening the account is pretty unique, and the website is clear and simple to navigate. I don't have a single complaint about Shawbrook, despite generally being very quick with criticism. Talking about criticism: I would never take a steer from TrustPilot when it comes to selecting a financial product.2

Put ANY company into trustpilot and you get gripes.
Personally I can`t fault Shawbrook.2
