SmartSave have sharpened their pencil in response and are offering 5.28% for a 1 Yr Fix, but a minimum opening amount of £10,000 compared to MBNA's £1,000.4 -
I opened the MBNA 5.27% 1 year fix. I'm a tad concerned that there is no portal to log into. They simply send one a text message to inform that funds have been received. It's not ideal.CuparLad said:pecunianonolet said:MBNA 1y fix @ 5.27% Min Opening Amount£1,000

Just opened another Charter 1Yr Fixed. I know it’s not quite the top paying account but it’s not far off and I am already a customer. Pretty sure all Easy Access accounts will fall below 5% in coming weeks and I have a couple of Charter fixed accounts maturing in June and July so planning ahead a bit more than I would have done.1
