They opened it yesterday, today it will go in a 5 - business days queue, Bank Holiday next Monday so not a business day. By the time they open me an account it will likely be 12/13 days since I applied.
Anyone got any suggestions for a a similar deal without the shenanigans?

like Malchester, I recently opened an 18-month fix with Ford as an existing user... took a day for the new account to be created and from that point, you have 21 days to fund.0 -
I was new to Ford in June for their Flex saver and wasn't asked for any paperwork, it was all sorted very expediently. I think I got username etc. by email which was later confirmed in writing.
I just wondered though if the poster asking had experienced difficulties with Charter, might find the same with Ford, as they use the same system. I thought it was Charter asking for a bank statement that was causing the delay.1 -
Charter 1 year fix down to 5.98% from 6.00%

As I remember it, opened and funded my Atom FRB (currently 5.9%) all on the same day.#2 Saving for Christmas 2024 - £1 a day challenge. £325 of £3660

I have sent them a secure message, but assume I won't get a reply until late next week.
<<< It will finish on the date of the final anniversary of us receiving your initial deposit. For example, if you make an initial deposit for a 1-year term on 5th January, the term will end on 5th January the following year.>>>Mortgage free

with regards to an earlier discussion about Recognise Bank and the confusion about the funding window (whether it's 14 or 30 days and email/site giving different values), I just received an email from them...We are writing to let you know of some important changes to our savings accounts.
Our funding window has changed
- We have reduced the funding window across all our savings accounts from 30 days to 14 days.
- The funding window is the period in which you need to make your initial deposit after opening an account with us.
- Please be aware of this change if you are looking to open a new account with us.
How this could impact you
- We may close your account. If we do not receive funds within 14 days of your account opening, your new savings account may be closed, and you’ll need to reapply online.
- We may change your interest rate. In the event we don’t close your Account after 14 days and it is a Fixed Rate Account with the rate having dropped since you opened it, we may apply the lower interest rate to your Account.
so from this point on, it's 14 days to fund their accounts.
