Advice please on selling a flat

Your brother may have caused confusion by paying the service charges for a flat which wasn't his yet. Was everybody else aware he was doing that?0

No probate was paid for separately and was completed 1st June 2021. The sale of the property commenced in July 2021. It has been complicated by my mother leaving him out of her will. I have spoken to my Brother and he said that he is up to date with all service charges and ground rent, so I will have to get to the bottom of this with my Solicitor. No deed of variation was mentioned to me. We completed last Friday. But with the accounts dept at my Solicitor's overpaying me by £674 I need to question a few things. You have all been very helpful as I know my questions have lacked clarity.0

My brother has lived there for many years and always paid the service charges and ground rent. But, you may be right in thinking that during the sale it was assumed as I became the owner, it was my bill. Thank you for raising my attention to this.0
