LPA witness?

On my wife's LPA can my son who will be one of the attorney's be a witness for my signature as another attorney?

According the the gov.uk site for LPAs, (https://www.gov.uk/power-of-attorney/make-lasting-power) attorneys can witness each other's signatures, but not that of the person the LPA is being made for.1
