Over Sse direct debit calculation rip off

I have noticed ovo sse direct debit calculation  is wrong and could have the affect of costing its consumers millions of pounds.
Using Sse app I reviewed my gas direct debit. On the app the calculation is

Cost of energy
Plus money you 0we
Divided by installments due.

They omit to take into account any credit in your ac.


I am £170 in credit yet they sent out letters to increase my direct debit. Infarct if there calculations were correct and my credit balance was considered my direct debit should have been reduced by £15. Thus saving me £150
Complete rip off at a time when energy bills are in crises. I was similarly being ripped of on my electricity account By over a £100 a year. This is currently the subject of a complaint to SSE OVO
