Hi
There’s no cash listed on the executor account. Our Uncle had large sums of cash in his home and there was at least £35k I knew of and that he showed me prior to him passing away. His step son is executor. Estate (Scotland) to be split equal 7 ways. All including executor are residual beneficiaries. Executor cleared house and took everything. Has not been keeping us informed etc. Help! Been asked to sign a disclaimer to agree the executor account but in good conscience I can’t.

Should say. Just wondered what evidence an executor needs to give beneficiaries in terms of receipts and what the consequences of not signing are?0

Your uncle was very foolish to have so much cash laying around in his house. Cash is untraceable and he can’t provide evidence of something he claims did not exist.
Have you actually challenged him about the cash not appearing on the estate accounts? Have you spoken to the other beneficiaries about this?1 -
Did the executor definitely know about the cash/was it in an obvious place? Thinking of the possibility of it being disposed of by accident.
But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.

I just have visions of £35k in used notes residing in landfill. Could be worse, one guy has £6M in Bitcoins sitting on a hard drive buried deep in a Welsh rubbish dump.theoretica said:Did the executor definitely know about the cash/was it in an obvious place?
