DH are due to travel to Boston USA in about 6 weeks time and as we both recently tested covid positive (both fully vaccinated), we were checking the entry requirements, as I remember reading somewhere that you could not take a certain type of test within 90 days of a positive test - I have pasted below from the USA CDC information that we need documentation showing we have tested positive and date etc., will our covid isolation certificates be sufficient or do we need to get a letter from our GP.
Thank you
Thank you
-Travelers who have recovered from COVID-19. These travelers must show proof of a positive viral test from the preceding 90 days and a letter from their healthcare provider or public health official stating they are cleared to end isolation.

You just need an LFT to enter. It 'recommends' that you should do a 'viral test' whilst there within 3-5 days, however if you have recovered from Covid within 90 days then you don't have to. Is that what you mean?0

Unless you mean this:
If you recently recovered from COVID-19, you may instead travel with documentation of recovery from COVID-19 (i.e., your positive COVID-19 viral test result on a sample taken no more than 90 days before the flight’s departure from a foreign country and a letter from a licensed healthcare provider or a public health official stating that you were cleared to travel).
The 90 day thing usually applies to PCR tests, but you only need an LFT to enter the US, which are generally less of an issue when you've had Covid.0 -
I am flummoxed by the fact that NO-ONE has travelled to USA and tried to use their NHS Covid recovery Pass and can tell us about their experience. They accept the NHS Covid Pass to show vaccination status so why not the NHS Recovery Pass? It would be good to know if they'll accept it at the airport before I spend either a silly amount on a private doctor's letter (my doctor's surgery couldn't help) or just get the Antigen test the day before. I paid £45 for an observed test in December. I'm going away again in April but got Covid at the beginning of February, so I thought the Covid Recovery Pass was a better option?

Wouldn't the NHS count as "or public health official "0

Each country can set its own rules...the UK has never accepted the UK proof of Recovery either in lieu of test.
Either take a LFT or pay for a letter0 -
