Had new Council Tax bill in today and £150 is deducted at start from annual bill.   The 10 monthly payments are then calculated in the usual way..
Got ours at the start of this week, and it's the same - £150 taken off, then monthly payments calculated.

BTW, shouldn't the title of this thread have 'not' removed?

Typical Dundee council.  Not giving the £150 as a help in one lump sum no they have decided to give it monthly as a reduction. So it’s going to be 10 months before you get the full £150.  Obviously the interest off the money they are given in advance will stay on their bank account.
East Renfrewshire have increased CT and promised cuts to services which will happen throughout the 22/23 year.  I suspect this is what will fund our generous £15 per month reduction.  I was expecting either the cash or a further 'free' month at least.  I think I'll tell Eon to expect their hikes in 10 x monthly instalments - I'm sure they be accommodating.....not!  Really angry about this, *gnashes teeth!

You do pay energy bills in installments. You don't pay for the whole year up front do you?
