price gap

I really not sure what to do. I am on standard variable price cap  for my duel energy gas/elec pay £96.27 monthly with British Gas.  Increase of 54% come April likely to rise to £1779.07 per year.  So 148.25 per month . No other deals i can see current. New quote from British Gas fixed tariff till Dec 23 quoted 188.12 per month which still works out more expensive at £2258.16 per year. I have looked at other companies and quotes are higher than this.
If i have done my sums correctly than really going on Martins advice i should do nothing. Would i be right. Please help
