Slim soft close toilet seats

There seems to be a trend of slim toilet seats on a lot of the ones we're looking at. They look uncomfortable, but without getting out one's bare bottom in a shop, it's hard to tell. Do you have one? What's it like?

We have 2 Ideal Standard toilets with what they call the "slim sandwich" seat with soft close. TBH it's just like any other toilet seat. Perfectly comfortable for all your usual activities!2

We have them. They're toilet seats, not much else to say about them!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

To be honest can't really tell any difference from the other toilets in our house that don't have them.1 -
We're soon going to be fitting the Duravit D-code toilet with slim, soft close seat/lid in our cloakroom. Have previously had these and - other than the slim profile appearance - didn't notice a difference between it and our other toilets without....
Ok, maybe not quite as *warm* to the nether regions as the wooden seat on our high level WC 😉😁 but definitely not flimsy, cheap feeling or uncomfortable!Mortgage-free for fourteen years!
