It my local Lidl they are not only sold out, they said that the heated throws all sold within the first 30 minutes.[Deleted User] said:Lidl are flogging a Silentnight luxury heated throw for £24.99 until 22nd November.1 -
Ours is 20W, 30W or 60W depending on the setting. Around 1.5p for an hour on max.RHemmings said:I've only just started using an electric blanket for the first time about a week ago. I bought it years ago but my previous partner refused to use an electric blanket.
It's a 100W underblanket from Aldi, and while it takes some time for the bed to get warm, once it does it's very warm indeed at full heat. I never knew what the typical wattage of an electric blanket was and have been surprised to see that 100W is nearer the higher wattage range, not the lowest.1 -
Oh no! Having bought a thingie to measure electricity usage from Lidl, I've worked out that at current usage my electric blanket may cost as much as £10 a month! How will I make ends meet?0

You must be running it for more than 50% of the time, presumably that's mostly during the day as I don't think anyone could sleep with a 100W blanket running all night.3

My wife comes out gently toasted in the mornings - she has her side cooking virtually all night, but only set to 50%Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0

I have done so, but accidentally. Just about to switch it off now. I use it a lot when working from home as I typically work by using a laptop in bed. I can sleep with it on, but do wake up 'hot' in the middle of the night.Qyburn said:You must be running it for more than 50% of the time, presumably that's mostly during the day as I don't think anyone could sleep with a 100W blanket running all night.0
