It's a 100W underblanket from Aldi, and while it takes some time for the bed to get warm, once it does it's very warm indeed at full heat. I never knew what the typical wattage of an electric blanket was and have been surprised to see that 100W is nearer the higher wattage range, not the lowest.1 -
Oh no! Having bought a thingie to measure electricity usage from Lidl, I've worked out that at current usage my electric blanket may cost as much as £10 a month! How will I make ends meet?0

You must be running it for more than 50% of the time, presumably that's mostly during the day as I don't think anyone could sleep with a 100W blanket running all night.3

I have done so, but accidentally. Just about to switch it off now. I use it a lot when working from home as I typically work by using a laptop in bed.
