Morning everyone
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Still dark, but rain spots on the windows so either been raining or is raining now - it is forecast for today.
DH and DS1 up and getting ready for work, I'm showered and dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was egg, bacon, sausage, hash browns, mushrooms and beans. Will sort tonight's dinner later.
A busy day ahead, boiler being serviced first thing, I need to go to the building society in town after that and then collect my click and collect food order at lunchtime, and I have the normal "to do" list in amongst this too. This afternoon I need to go to the oldies to sit with 1 whilst the other goes for a blood test.
Keep safe and well x

Good morning and thanks for starting NMLC.It doesn't seem too cold this morning, see how it turns out. I'll get a towel wash on and would like to get them dry outside.Yesterday seemed to be another day of long phone calls after I'd come in at lunchtime after meeting a friend. It's been Communications Week here.I did manage to make orange curd, I was sick of the sight of the oranges on the worktop!Dgs is coming today so he'll keep us busy till 3pm when I take him to meet his mum at school, she'll be collecting his sister.Going to a friend's tonight for a couple of hours, and that'll be it for today.Thinking of our poorly people , and those with relatives who aren't well.Take care folks.14

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. Another drab day ahead according to forecast. Yesterday was quite mild and it was almost pleasant walking back into town from the surgery.
A going nowhere day for me but I have the excitement of the Friday Tidy with a dust and vac up and down, First though I want to make another batch of soup to keep me going for the next few days. It's handy to have a container full in the fridge to accompany my lunchtime wrap or bagel.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones and convalescing. Take care one and all and be safe x"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"16 -
Morning All
Much colder this morning, I've had the heating on for an hour. The fire can be cleaned in a while and re-lit to keep the chill off. We are forecast sleet and rain today so the washing can stay inside on the pulley.
I had a negative PCR test yesterday so am free to go, went down to Aldi yesterday and was totally exhausted by the time I got home, only a 10 minute walk each way. Having a get better day today so will hopefully return to work on Monday.
Hugs to those in need, hope the poorlies are recovering. Hope you are OK Marie, would love to hear from you.
Happy Friday, take care. XX15 -
Morning
Was really mild yesterday so on the day we all found out the shocking energy price rises as a small token I could switch the heating off but it seems it will be back to arctic conditions today.
Zoom call was so dull 2hrs of my life I’ll never get back.
Delivery came all present and correct so more meal planning required. Oddly the driver arrived with a very large watermelon I hadn’t ordered. He said if I refused it would just go in the bin so of course I kept it. Goodness knows how I'll chop it up I struggle with a cucumber. When I was a lot younger I used to make watermelon cocktails by chopping the top of and pouring in vodka. As I don’t have any vodka it would be false economy to buy some for a free melon but it’s very tempting!
Made 4 tuna fishcakes from the leftover mash. 3 went in the freezer so 5 meals out of a pot of mash. Could have been more but I am a bit of a gannet with mash. Had 1 for dinner with a big salad. Tonight is another use up tea. Found some Christmas sausage rolls in the freezer so I’ll have those with a cheesy jacket and some beans
Today I have a new contact to call but not much else so I’ll get the kitchen straight then have some chill time.
Have a good day all

woke up to snow this morning so I will stay indoors, cannot risk falling because I have osteoporosis. Think I will make some mushroom soup later and then light the wood burner so the heating can stay off. Best wishes to all13

Good morning everyone and thanks for the start nmlc.
Have been for a run this morning. Went a different route – still won’t win any medals but better than not doing it! Went onto my BG account yesterday and my fix ends in April. Indicator said at current payment rates, I will owe £175 so I thought I’d up my direct debit now.
Have been asked to support an additional director as someone has been let go, so will be doing two people’s work for the foreseeable. Yesterday was manic as had to arrange a whole raft of meetings plus field calls and queries from my main boss. Despite this I had a rotten night’s sleep even though I was really tired. Saw a couple of other jobs advertised but part time and half to a third of what I earn. Not sure I could take the cut with cost of living rising as it is.
Yay to freedom day Camelot – take it easy x
Taff – your mechanic sounds very thorough!
Hope you feel better soon bella x
Csarina – how are you and DB doing today?
Right better go and dry my hair ready for another day of fun fun fun.
Hugs to all the poorlies and those with worries – poppy, NRA and Sunfl0w3r xx

Morning all
Day off for me but got woken very early by someone from work texting me to tell me they had covid, it was nice of her to tell me but not at 6 this morning !
I have a Dr's app this morning, for a blood test and ive got to take a wee sample in, I have had an insatable thirst for a couple of weeks now I am drinking about 3-4 pints an hour and then going to the loo every 15 minutes, I know this is a sign for diabetes so they have asked me to go in today, they should be able to tell from the wee but the blood test will show if its anything else.
Pork fillet for dinner tonight, I will marinade it in garlic soy sauce and honey and do a mushroom risotto and some peas to go with it.
I have put a wash on this morning and will have a quick tidy through.
Have good days all and take care xx14 -
Morning all managed to get the dog walked before the rain so thats a positive as per usual i saw no-one didn't post test yesterday as it took 3 of us to make the box for it to be returned so i will be sending it today . The scaffolders are coming today so the renderer can start next week DS can deal with them or i can shout from the window i am still showing negative on home tests but there does seem to be a virus about as a lot of people have the same symptoms so who knows . After yesterdays fuel announcment i told everyone lights off jumpers on so i came down this morning to a light left on obviously everyone was listening to me i think it was DH when he left for work. I will be joining TA on the friday clean other than that nothing much to report.
Have a good day stay safe warm and dry xxSlava Ukraini14 -
Good morning,
Thank you so much for all your kind words, they mean a lot ❤
It's wet here today so will probably stay indoors. I need to move the book case and wardrobe back into place so I've got room to pull the chest of drawers out to paint that. I took the coats and jumpers out of the wardrobe before painting it. I put them on the bed and within 5 minutes one of the cats was sleeping on them🐈 how do they know😁
Have as good a day as you can 🌻13 -
Morning folks. What a miserable, dark, dank, wet, windy horrible day outside. ☹️ Yesterday I drove down to Glasgow in nasty conditions, had my 10 minute hygienist appointment and then decided to change my plans and drive back home. The forecast for Glasgow was dire so I didn't want to risk being stuck there. The drive home was truly awful but I took it really slowly and made it through the rain and wind safely. To 'reward' myself I stopped at the Chinese takeaway in town. 😀 The hotel was fine about me not turning up, I've moved the booking to next Friday as there's another planned power outage for all day.Bella - good luck with the scaffolding
Ruby - my fingers are crossed for you.Nelski - 😂😂
Camelot - 🎉🎉 but do take things easy!
Poppy - you do well to stay at home.Coxy - there'll be the perfect job for you somewhere.Time to shift myself. Thoughts to all our poorlies. Happy Friday to everyone.14
