Global Shipping Help

I have a buyer who wants to buy something I am selling. He lives in Slovenia (good, steady feedback). However I can't seem to calculate a postage cost that makes it worthwhile. RM quoted £111.12.
When I tried to 'learn more' about Global Shipping it turns out the link is broken...
Can some kind person explain how it works please?

The GSP would need to be enabled when item is listed, it cannot be added later.red_boots2 said:I have a buyer who wants to buy something I am selling. He lives in Slovenia (good, steady feedback). However I can't seem to calculate a postage cost that makes it worthwhile. RM quoted £111.12.

Can some kind person explain how it works please?Under the GSP all the seller has to do is get it to the Uk eBay hub , so you would get the item price plus UK postage. However before purchasing the buyer sees a higher total , that total covers your payment plus an additional payment to eBay , when ebay get your item they pay all the VAT and duty required and ship it tracked and insured to buyer .I love the GSP and no longer ship anything direct, I don’t have to worry about VAT or taxes or fill out any customs declaration. Just make sure though that when you list with the GSP enabled that you fill out the packed weight at end of listing form so that ebay can charge the buyer correctly for postage based on item weight.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I don't need to worry though as 30mins after posting a UK buyer bought it.0 -
I note it has now gone to a UK buyer but 2.5kg to Europe fully tracked and insured with all duty paid would have been extremely expensive and definitely one for the GSP.red_boots2 said:

Worth noting for future reference that there are size and weight limits with GSP, so for larger items you must check before you enable it.
If GSP receive an item that’s bigger than the limit the T&Cs allow them to dispose of it without any warning or compensation… (I once purchased an item from a US seller which turned out to be too big, I received a refund but felt bad for them as they’d never even heard of GSP, much less taken a decision to enable it).1 -
That’s why it is important to fill out the weight bit if enabling GSP , however as the weight limit is 30kg I suspect there are very few items that exceed the limit.dj1471 said:Worth noting for future reference that there are size and weight limits with GSP, so for larger items you must check before you enable it.

exclusions are hereThe item must weigh no more than 30kg and be no larger than 125,000 cm³, and no longer than 120cm on the longest side.
The item's price cannot exceed a price of £2,000 (not including postage), except when selling to buyers in the following countries:
