How do you calculate this :)? Gas 12,808 kWh/yr Electricity 1,166 kWh/yr this is my annual use
You will have a tariff with rates for gas and electricity, each with a price per kWh and a daily standing charge.
    • Your annual bill for gas will be 12808 x the kWh rate, plus 365 x the daily standing charge.
    • For electricity, it will be 1166 x the kWh rate plus 365 x the daily standing charge
If you can't do the maths in your head, most smartphones have a calculator, as does Windows, or you can type the sums into Google and it will work it out for you.
    Hopefully this makes sense?

But what about the standing charge? It’s cheaper on the fixed deal.

What about it, exactly? I've included it in my calculations.

ok now I am confused, my fixed tariff has updated from an annual amount of £1678.70 monthly amount £139.89, to an annual amount of £1611.64 monthly amount £134.30, but they both still have the same standing charges and unit rates. Am I missing something here?

Are the annual usage figures still the same? These update when you have meter readings taken.

No just noticed my annual usage for electricity has come down, I take it it’s still not a good deal?
