Changing fixed price to another now, before it ends in June.

Hi Peeps,

Question for you:

My current fixed price tariff with Scottish Power ends at the end of June 2022, but they have sent me an offer to change to another fixed price tariff until June 2023.

It works out around £20.00 a month more than my current, but is it still worth switching in order to avoid not being able to get the same deal once it does end in June this year?

There is no charge to switch over or exit fees to pay, but wondering should I do this or just wait it out and hope this deal will still exist by then?

Its difficult to advise without knowing the rates and standing charges of your current/proposed tariff together with your actual usage.

However,  many people posting on here that have been offered fixes with an increase >£100/month over what they are currently paying might jump at the chance of a £20/month increase fixed till mid-2023 (assuming you are not already on a ridiculously high rate)
