Refund to old Card

I cancelled a motor policy due to a sold car and the refund has been made to an old Debit card (I was given a new card (and number) last month

Will it still arrive or will I need to inform the bank or insurance company

If its the same account it will still come through, potentially may take a day longer to come out in the wash but it will still show.

It will go to a internal bank account 1st and then be transferred to the account. Can be done by computer or the old fashioned way by someone looking at them & transferring it over.

You've posted in the credit card section but if you're actually meaning debit card, the refund will go to your account. I had this happen last month where Amazon refunded me on my old HSBC card and it still came through into my account.

It would show up on a credit card too when the number has changed, it has for me.
