Post Office - Check & Send Passport Deadlines?

Has anyone recently used the Post Office Digital Check & Send service to renew their passport and is able to share when they got their passport back? Sent my application off last week and still waiting for HMPO to confirm they have received my old passport in order to process my application.

it doesn't make the process any quicker - just costs you more money. You will get a text or e-mail once the passport is received and scanned on to the system0

The Post Office send by special delivery so it should arrive next day.0

They should be able to tell you if there is a delay in scanning old passports on arrival.0 -
That's the Irish passport service, I don't think they can advise on HMPO procedure timings.

It took about 10 days for my OH's passport to show up as being received after she posted it special delivery. As above, I think it's the queue for processing at the passport office end.0
