Amazon Promo for Change of Payment Card

Hi.
Amazon announced in November 2021 that they won't accept Visa credit cards from 19th January 2022 any longer. There was a promo offering £10 - or £20 for Prime Members - if you change your payment card from Visa credit to another type. I did that but never received my £20. According to the customer service the promo was only available to those they emailed and since I did not get one, well, I don't get the money. That stinks, I think. I spoke to their customer service, they insist, no email no money and they won't even tell me the exact promo criteria. This cannot be right, right? In my mind they should honour the offered promo to all that have changed from Visa credit to another payment card.
Anybody knows anything about our consumer rights here?
Many thanks..

What you feel they should have done has nothing to do with your rights.3 -
Yeah, I get that. But they won't explain to me who was actually eligible other then that they sent an email. So, I cannot check whether they got it wrong or I did.

You were not eligible, as you didn't receive the email or have the banner on the homepage inviting you to the promotion. That's the end of it.
If you want to blame anyone, blame the media for telling everyone and their cat about a promotion that was for a specific set of customers, and not doing a particallry great job of explaining that.1 -
"And they're entitled to keep the eligibility a secret if they wish"
I thought promotion criteria had to be made public, even if only on request. Btw, I am not blaming anybody. Just want to know what is what. Also, I got the info from this website. They did state if you have the email you can still claim.0 -

There was likely a series of criteria needed for you to be offered this promo, but it was only awarded to those who were offered it, and clearly you were not.0 -
Ah well. Thanks for your input.0

I think it's grossly unfair that as a Mastercard user, I wasn't offered the same promotion. What are my rights?0
