Meter reading refunds/debt

Hello

It has been ages since my meters were read, and now in light of the price increases I am loathe to submit readings but....

I do wonder, If over the past 3 years a reading hasn't been taken I have built up a credit, or debt, would the shortfall in units used be calculated at todays rates, or distributed over the period?

Ie most of the consumption would have been when rates were lower, but would I now be charged the current, higher, unit cost?

Your supplier will use estimate reads for every change of price over the last few years base on your latest reading. So distributed over the period.

Rather than remain in doubt, just read the meters now and compare to your most recent bill and see how much difference there is?
If you are not sure how to calculate the gas use just give us the meter readings and we can help.
