    Indeed.  Its at that inbetween age - too young to be considered a "modern classic", old enough for people with that sort money to spend to want something fresher.

    Golfs are a funny thing.  They definitely have a cult following.  Its whether someone would value this, given its an entry level engine / spec model.


    Yeah, that engine is a curse, it's way too underpowered and the golf is quite a heavy car for its size.

    The usual collectors won't want it, but someone might put a lot of value in it being low mileage and pay the asking price for it.

    I think low mileage is overrated. Being owner of the 1.6 with 183K London miles on. I would say a lot of the plastics will be perishing from age. Heater matrix issues.
