Currently on variable tariff, unsure what to do.

Hi there

I am currently on a variable tariff: Eon Fix Again 1 Year v8

I honestly haven't idea what to do, presuming this variable tariff will be more expensive than a fixed in the coming months? And the longer i wait the more expensive fixed tariffs will become?

Any support appreciated. Thanks

With the name "Eon Fix Again 1 Year v8" it doesn't sound like a variable tariff.
Even with today's announcement the advice is do nothing. Let any existing fixed deals expire and roll onto the capped standard tariff.
Or if already on the capped tariff, stay put and take the hit from April 1.

It doesn't no, it's definitely a variable tariff. I have been moved over to Eon Next Flex Tariff which clearly states variable.

How do i know if I'm on the capped tariff?

Electricity rate currently: 20.39p (24.87 p/day standing charge)
    Gas: 4.01p (26.12 p/day standing charge)

EON Next Flex is their standard variable tariff and is subject to the Ofgem price cap.

Those prices are for Eon-Next Flex and are the capped tariff rate depending on where you live.

Just increase them all by about 55% to get a rough idea of what your cap is likely to be after 1st April
