Help with import fees

Hi. Last year I ordered some goods from a company based in the EU (Denmark) but with a co.uk web address. The website and invoice clearly state all import fees and VAT are included in the price.
Before my goods arrived I received an invoice from DHL for £75. I contacted the company who said they had spoken to DHL and it was an error on DHL's part. A couple of days later my goods were delivered and I thought that was the end of it. Then I received a threatening letter from DHL for non-payment of the invoice. Spoke to them on the phone and they say there is no record of the supplier providing them with a letter of agreement for payment of the fees. Company in Demark first supplied a letter without a DHL account number which DHL will not accept and are now not responding to emails. If I paid the fees would I be able to claim the money back somehow? Would a section 75 claim (I paid using mastercard) be an option or is that just for claiming back the full amount?

Thanks in advance folks

I would imagine DHL are due payment and the company are due to refund the import fees you paid to them at the time of ordering.

Have a chat with your card company.

Unless you already have the above in writing, if DHL were willing to be particularly helpful it would be of use to you for them to give you something in writing to explain why the fees are due so you can offer this to the card company.
