Avro Final Bills

Hi There
Are many of you, like me, still waiting their final Avro Bill?  I signed up with them on 17 August 2021 and they went into administation as we are all aware on 27 September (Yep, Lucky is my middle name).  I paid Two DDs as they required the first month in advance...(I I think someones ski holidayfund mau have been a litle light hence the upfront payment).  Octopus seem to be awaiing my final bill and just wondring how many ohers are still outstanding

  • Got mine on Friday.  I thought I must be one of the last to receive it, but you're clearly behind me in the queue.

    The good news is that mine was correct - the final bill accounted for my first September DD (similar story to you in that I moved to Avro a few days before they went bust), and the October, November and December Avro DDs have been accounted for in my first Octopus bill.  I'm pleasantly surprised it's all correct - it's quite impressive given they had over half a million accounts to deal with and lots like yours and mine that were complicated by having transferred just before Avro went under.

    I did receive an e-mail from Octopus after querying an Avro £60 credit balance. They are still, apparently still working throught the more complicated issues. e.g. anyone who had a credit balance with Avro but moved to another supplier before they went bust, but didn't refund any credit. Fortunately  I have screenshots of my old Avro account and a p.d.f. of their final bill.
    Of course, I moved from Avro to Igloo who subsequently also went bust!

    I also moved to Avro from Green 3 days before they went bust.

    Shell refunded my balance from Green at the end of December. Did have to chase up.

    Still waiting and Octopus can give me no idea when it will happen. I have had one final bill from Avro dated Sept 26th but as I followed Octopus advice and did not cancel my direct debit until beginning of November I need a new final bill. 

    I cannot believe my account is in anyway complicated! 

    Everytime I have contacted them I just get generic answers. Nothing is specific to my account and its obvious nobody is actually reading anything that I write in my emails to them.

  • My final Avro bill is dated and was issued 1st July 2021 it covers the period 12th June - 29th June 2021.

    I got mine last week and it is right. I also got my credit refund ages ago. I increased my DD in November in anticipation of price rises and my most recent bill has me being £70 debit which seems ok at this time of the year.

    I wouldn't be surprised if there were quite a few  of us still awaiting things to be finalised on our Avro/Octopus accounts.

    I have my final Avro bill now (via Octopus), and they've billed me for almost twice the amount of gas as reflected in the meter readings!
    As noted above, Octopus don't actually read the emails you send them, just give you boilerplate auto-replies.  

    How do I get the Avro bill fixed?  Octopus say "Octopus is a separate company to Avro and we are not able to take on responsibility for any errors that Avro made in the past, but we can correct issues on our system and make sure everything is correct for you with us."

  • I had a similar problem was changing supplier aug 21 but avro didn't let me change until I paid for their estimated usage so when the change happened sept 21 I had already paid my new supplier 2 DD. That was all sorted but now final bill from octopus is still on estimated readings and doesn't account for my extra payment. I have sent statements from 2 suppliers to octopus but no joy yet.
