Dart Charge-Car has been sold and reregistered last Sept

Just received a Dart Charge for a car I sold last Sept. The car was reregistered to new owner straight away, The Dart Charge was sent to my address, even though the car no longer belongs to me. It was registered on my Dart account to my address a few years ago when I was using the crossing regularly. Could they have used this information for my address? Would this be a misuse of GDPR? Received the fine on 27/01/2022. Thanks in advance for any advice.

It happened twice to me. I sent a very robust reply, copied to my MP, and heard no more. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.2

Did you take your car's VRM off your Dart Charge Account as soon as possible after you sold it?3

I stopped using the crossing about 3 years ago so I thought it had closed. There was only about £5 in account.0

I've tried logging in and it says e-mail not recognised.

You could try phoning them on 0300 300 0120. I did this when trying to set up my account in the early days and found them to be very helpful.2
