Silverfish - How to get rid of them permanently?

After move into "the rental properties", I found there are some cracks along floor board in the hallway, and under kitchen fitted in wardrobes.
Silverfish came out in the night in the hallway and kitchen floor. I found many of them.
I am not sure if it is landlord or tenant responsibility to take care of? I kept cleaning floors and no mess of anything at all on the floor. It is very clean condition. I opened windows and make sure rooms are not humid.

Finally, I bought silverfish killer spray. The very first few days, I found many of them are dead.
However, after a week, I could see 2-3 of live one each morning.
Although the number of them are much less, but it is endless. Each day I need to collect a few of dead ones in the morning.
I also do not want to use this spray every 2 weeks/months.

Is there any advice to stop them permanently to enter the house?
Since it is the rental property, have anyone try to use waterproof and thick "the Caulk tape sealant" and tape/seal all the gaps, then remove them when I leave the property?
Or, these silverfish will eat the tape happily? Or the tape is very thick enough to prevent this.

Personally, I  have used an insecticide "fogger" to get rid of an infestation of woodlice in a basement, but I'm not sure how safe they are to use around foodstuffs and equipment in a kitchen. I also use diatomaceous earth to get rid of ants and that is safe and non-toxic to use anywhere. It is a very fine white powder that bugs avoid touching or it fatally dehydrates them. You sprinkle it where they enter your cupboards or around the skirting board.

Be careful with your foodstuffs stored in the kitchen as they can eat through paper packaging to get at flour, sugar, pasta etc. Check your cupboards and maybe invest in some airtight containers for vulnerable items.
