Holiday refund on one credit card - new holiday on other credit card

in Credit cards
I have 2 credit cards, Tesco and MBNA - both of which I have had for over 10 years, so there won't be any new balance transfer rates.
I booked a holiday on my Tesco credit card, which is set up to pay the full amount off each month.
I needed to cancel that holiday and book another with the same company as per their terms and conditions. However, it was impossible to get through to them on the phone so as per their alternative instructions, I went ahead and booked the new holiday but had to put it on a different (MBNA) credit card as I was nearly up to my credit limit on the Tesco credit card. The holiday company has since arranged a full refund on the original holiday to the Tesco credit card.
So now I am in the situation where the old holiday will be paid for in full from my bank account before the refund comes through. So I will end up with a large credit on the Tesco credit card whilst still having to pay off for the new holiday on my MBNA credit card.
I wanted to book on a credit card for security reasons but with hindsight might have been better booking it with my debit card.
Is there any way I can transfer the balance from the MBNA credit card to the Tesco credit card without it costing me a fortune?
Thanks.

Just ask Tesco to send you the surplus. You can then do whatever you want with it.1

I have an MBNA card and have had it for 11 years, they send me at least two balance transfer and cash transfer offers a year, probably closer to an offer every quarter.Jet said:I have 2 credit cards, Tesco and MBNA - both of which I have had for over 10 years, so there won't be any new balance transfer rates.1 -
They have probably done this to me then, but I have always disregarded as it's not something I've ever wanted to use until now.MattMattMattUK said:
