Noisy Dehumidifier ? Tenants upstairs thudding and banging ... long post

...and I'm back , albeit a little puzzled .
Last night there was a little more 'movement ' but no banging . 

It's 4.50 pm ( Sunday ) and for the last half an hour ,  there is a lot of banging / thumping /scraping etc . It is coming from the same area ( I'm in my living room and the noise is coming from the same corner so to speak ) . 

My guess now is that there is some sort of repair work going on . 

Maybe it wasn't the dehumidifier after all ..
