Keyboard types only 1 character at a time ?...Long pressing does not work.

Hi All...

Hope all of you are doing great.

I have win 10 and some keyboard working great. I have an issue please.  I had solved it but I messed up again. Its not my keyboard. When I type, its only 1 chacrater at a time. Well, in other words I want to type a “W” 100 times I have to press the W key 100 times, cannot keep it pressed down as the cursor will not move. Its maybe to do with the ease of keyboard, setup filters etc, done it and it and worked but when I restarted my computer, the same problem was back again.

I have also done the start/run/regedit or confirg.sys(cant remember) /go to current user/.....something something /keyboard and change the values of delay and repeat on right hand side. It worked but I messed it again. So right now I am with pressing the W, 100 times instead of just keep long pressing the W key and it will type faster or even the backspace, right arrow key, delete, space bar, etc they all takes only 1 character at a time. Even the delete take only 1 character at a time.

Kindly advice. I have win 10 and JEDEL keyboard (some cheap stuff) but worked all this time.

I thank you all

AK

    Hi,
have you been messing with ease of access?
    A quick google suggests:

Open the 'Ease of Access Settings' by pressing the Windows logo key + U on the keyboard. ... On the right of the screen, scroll down and under the 'Filter Keys' heading click or tap the On/Off toggle switch labelled 'Ignore or slow down brief or repeated keystrokes and adjust keyboard repeat rates'.
