Home insulation 2014-15

We live in a newish built 3 bed. Aside from what we can see (Loft insulation) we have no real idea of the standard of insulation. It is brick built with cavity, block and beam ground floor. Can someone give us an idea what the standard for newbuilds was at the time? Especially cavity? underfloor?
Thanks in advance,AE

I'd expect 10cm rockwool insulation in the cavity and 10cm Celotex-like insulation on beam&block.

...and 300mm of rock wool in the loft.

Probably that as a minimum - if it's a smallish development then it could have been built under 2013 Bldg Regs, with 100-125mm in the cavity and 100-150mm in the floor. Likely to have 400mm quilt in the loft as an easy win.

You should be able to measure the overall cavity wall depth at a doorway and see if it's 300/325mm.

As a new build though, you should be able to see the exact U-values entered on p2 of the EPC.

There are various methods of getting the target U values using part or full fill insulation.
