  • I thought it was clear that this was the reason why the change was happening…to prevent fraudulent and reused stamps. If it was just a change in design or because someone in RM really thought that they needed to let recipients watch Shaun the Sheep videos, there would have been no need to invalidate old stamps.

    Agreed

Seems we need a reminder on each of the 16 pages of this thread though.

How do you do that?  I've tried with threads on one of the boards here before and not found a way :(

Go to the red blob at the end of the thread title & click on it so that the blob is empty.

Thanks, it is empty but I've found if I've replied to a thread it still notifies me even without being bookmarked.

I have those notifications turned off & just bookmark them instead, then I look at them all when I am ready.

Oh cool, I hadn't find a way to change notifications but after reading your comment have now noticed the settings button - thanks very much! :D

When my son sends a birthday card to his grandmother from Denmark there is no stamp or label at all. He buys online and receives a long string of letters and numbers which he writes at the top of the envelope where the stamp would go. Rather disappointing for collectors but saves ink, etc
After using the Danish postal system he will never have a bad word said about ours! Her cards to him take between 5 days and 7 weeks and must be collected from an office - no individual delivery

That astounded me so I looked it up  https://www.fyidenmark.com/post-office.html  suggests that you only get individual delivery if you have a well-labelled box by your door that postie approves of.    Maybe a lot of people prefer to use a PO box number and collect ?
I need to think of something new here...

Yes, that's correct. He lives in a flat in the centre of Copenhagen with post boxes in the foyer but they only seem to be filled once a week or less so I suppose most people opt for collecting. Just like here there is very little mail, just the odd card from Grandma!
