Hi guys - first time poster, long time reader, but I need some help please.
I booked some tickets on my HSBC debit card on 9th Dec 2019 to see a comedian. Due to CV19, the gig was postponed several times and unfortunately the venue has now been moved into 'Voluntary Liquidation' (according to Eventim, who I booked the tickets through). Eventim sent me the following email:
"We're writing to inform you that William Aston Hall, Wrexham – owned by VMS Live (Wrexham) Limited – has formally gone into Voluntary Liquidation.
Unfortunately, all shows due to take place have been cancelled.
Eventim is a ticket agent that acts upon instruction and sells Tickets for Events allocated to it. In this case, VMS Live (Wrexham) Limited has been in receipt of the ticket monies for Josh Widdicombe - Bit Much…. As we are no longer in receipt of such monies, we’re unable to process refunds as per our T&Cs which......
The contact details of the appointed Liquidator of the company are as follows:
Anthony Batty & Company LLP
3 Field Court
Gray's Inn
London
WC1R 5EF
You may contact them in regards to the possibility of a refund."
I did as suggested above, & received this response from the Liquidators:
"VMS Live (Wrexham) Ltd was placed into insolvent liquidation on 10 November 2021. On the basis of current information, there is no prospect of any dividend payment to unsecured creditors, which will include all ticketholders for events which have not gone ahead. Where an event is cancelled and the ticket issuer is not providing a refund, ticketholders who have paid by credit or debit card for events which have been cancelled may seek refunds from their card issuer. Whether or not the issuer will be able to provide a refund will depend on the terms of the card agreement."
I've spoken to HSBC and they tell me that because the transaction is older than 120 days, I am unable to apply for a refund through them.
It feels like I've come to the end of the line, but will happily take any advice if you think I have other avenues to explore!
Thanks in advance, Kris

Even if it was within 120 days of the last cancelled date it is passed the 540 days from the original debit date. So no chargeback would be possible. SorryLife in the slow lane0
