Hi,
I'm thinking of selling my car via Cazoo. They've asked for my bank account details in advance (i.e. even before my appt) so that they can set up the payment mechanism in advance. Is this normal practice, has anyone had experience with them please?
Thanks for any info

Not had any dealings with them however they are a big company and are legitimate. I think they are linked to BCA/WBAC although I may stand corrected.1

Well yes because they need to check your account number & sort code match & are in the name you have given. If they don't match then they still have time to come back to you.1

Don't worry about someone legitimate knowing your bank details. Back in the days of cheques, you gave your account number and sort code to everyone you paid money to, neatly printed on a piece of paper. If someone is nice to you but rude to the waiter, they are not a nice person.4

I always wondered how they managed to make up 300 points to check. This prompted me to have a look.

Spoke to a car trader who said Cazoo (as a car buyer) are paying more than almost any other platform as they sell the car to the public, whereas most others auction them or sell into the trade (more fingers/more pies) and they are very good, dont knock valuations down (unlike WBAC)Now we all know how it felt to play in the band on the Titanic...0

Just got a quote from Cazoo for my Peugeot 5008, 5y 6m old and 16500 miles £13150.00.
Paid £14350.00 pre reg with 8 miles on the clock after my test drive.
That means it’s depreciated £1200 in that time. 😱😱😱0 -

TBH we were ordering new cars a while ago and used all these services for valuations yet got more from the dealers as part exchange as they are desparate for second hand stock right now. Some dealers said if we showed them every valuation we had they’d pay more than the top one. And they did. Crazy times.
