So Enegy and deals
Before we come to that I am a bit concerned... I get constant battering about Smart meters but can’t book for one because The Webpapge isn’t available. I got My Staement recently but when I went into it I got this message, which follows I can’t actually see what the rate is other than:
We're sorry, but something went wrong.
I read an article which accused So of bullying tactics to get people to renew which I haven’t yet but for 2 weeks an I have had up to 4 calls per day from a phone number that I don’t recognise (so haven’t answered) I tried to submit readings but this is what I got

I have tried to communicate with them but without success, so far. I read they are backed by an Irish company and are finacially stable but this concerns me
The options are renewing at the variable rate... renewing for 1 year at £2600 or renewing for 2 years at about £2400 is that the right financial thing to do? At the moment as I can’t seem to be able to do anything I’m stuck
Has anyine else had problems with So? Its obvioulsy a crucial thng (deal expires 22.3.2022) but I’m concerned about the cost as well as the lack of ability to be interact with their website

I think the whole energy market stinks. I am a SO energy user too. It is supposed to provide GREEN energy. It's obvious that my interpretation of green is different to the energy market!
Green to me means solar, wind, hydro and a few insignificant others. Neither wind or solar or water have increased in cost: they are all natural resources. So why has the cost of green energy escalated to 36p/kWh? It costs the same to produce, but the producers are now raking in vast profits at our expense. They've jumped on the bandwagon, so to say.
But the energy produced by my solar panels may be worth more to me because of all the market turmoil, but I'm not being offered a cent more for the energy I export.
Finally, after almost 7 years of having solar panels, battery storage makes financial sense! But I can't help think that the Energy industry is as corrupt as hell.1 -
There are only three "real" green energy suppliers in the UK; Ecotricity, Good energy and Green Energy UK. All three will offer quotes for new customers and if you check their prices you'll see what green energy really costs at the moment.Terry46_2 said:I think the whole energy market stinks. I would argue there are no real Green Energy providers, especially when the wind isn't blowing. It's all a bit of a con designed to make you feel better and charge you a slight premium.
If you want real green energy then you need to produce it yourself.0 -
