You wouldnt necessarily ask for it, but theres nothing to stop a winning bidder paying for the item in paypal, then emailing to say 'ive paid for the item, when can i pick it up?'
And as if by magic...hubblebubble wrote: »Hmmmm. The item sold this afternoon for £26 and the winning bidder instantly paid by Paypal. They have emailed me asking when they could collect it. (its some second hand pre-school toys, nothing of particular value)
What should i do? Refuse the payment and insist on cash on collection. Or accept and allow collection?
The listing did not state I would not accept paypal for collection.
I wish I'd asked this question before listing!!
I've had it happen to me. i cant see too many scammers dealing in second hand pre-school toys, but its still a risk.
Tricky one, they could take the hump if you refund and never collect them.
Personally, i'd take the money from your paypal account and hope the person is one of the 99% who wouldnt do a chargeback.0 -
The other option (as last resort) is tell them you will post them their receipt, which of course you would do by signed-for mail

Collection = cashExclamation and question marks - ONE exclamation mark or question mark is sufficient to exclaim or ask about something. More than one just makes you look/sound like a prat.
Should OF, would OF. Dear oh dear. You really should have, or should've listened at school when that nice English teacher was explaining how words get abbreviated.0
