Morning All
Very windy this morning but dry so far so I have a couple of throws in the WM as I'm using them all day whilst lounging on the sofa! I've nearly finished a cardigan for the little one, good job she's not old enough to notice a mistake or two! The jumper I knitted her was a little big but not as big as my previous efforts, it'll do for the garden.
Thanks for your well wishes, I'm still struggling with a headache but at least my tummy seems to have settled. I think I'll have to post off another PCR to get the all clear as all the lateral flows are negative, very strange. DD dropped off some shopping yesterday, the little one was very confused that she couldn't come in and looked really sad.
Managed to get some work done from home yesterday and talked a colleague through the tricky pay job. I'll keep an eye on the emails during the day to see what's going on.
Good luck at the dentist Izzy, I still haven't been able to get an appointment, 2 years now. Great bargains from your market.
Lovely to have new bedding Gers. I bought some just after Christmas and although it's like sleeping in a crisp packet it's lovely.
Enjoy your day out TA and well done eating from your stocks.
Glad your midnight idea worked Scarlett.
What a lovely gift Poppy.
Hope the new vet finds a solution Ruby.
Shower time for me now, enjoy your days, take care. XX

Hi everyone,
Well the best laid plans and all that. I managed to do the food shop but then lost the rest of the day to a migraine. I still feel a bit washed out today but need desperately to catch up with the to-do list.
We've got a family lunch planned for Sunday but found out yesterday Crystal had put it down on Saturday on the calendar and they are double booked with her family. She says she'll sort it out and I hope so, because it's to celebrate Steve's birthday.
Have a good day.12 -
Must be my week for spoiling! Yesterday my lovely gift of a facial and today a hamper of goodies from an old neighbour. So kind.
Mr T delivery arriving soon, really struggling to keep the cost down but decided some wine must feature.
Take care everyone11 -
Morning, hugs if you need one.
So yesterday went ok till we were getting ready for bed last night and DB announced he had lost a hearing aid.....aarrggg I have checked car and also phoned the two places we were at, no sign at one, waiting for the other one to ring me back. If it is lost he will have to pay for a new one.........sigh...... I never liked them, they were not the solid ones like mone, but the ones you push a plastic bit down into the ear canal. He never really got on with them.
Decorator is here, prepping this morning, gloaa painting and the ceiling tomorrow, Papering Thursday and painting the paper on Friday. We have decided not to move back until the carpet is down, so 10 days on the sofa for me.
Two loads in the washer, have also washed the light fitting from our bedroom, its a two tier chandelier, I have managed to hook it on a coat hanger and its on the line dripping. Its the first time its been down since it was put up 7 years ago!! Have always used the 'Ken Dodd' to keep it clean.
Quiche, jacket spud and beans tonight for supper. We would normally have salad, but we had it with the pork last night. No dessert.

Morning everyone
Wild and windy here again- rescued my black bin from the road after it had been emptied.
Been to doctor this morning - she was sympathetic and checked me over but not a lot I can do other than rest. My heart and chest sounded fine - she said it might be a few weeks before I stop feeling so tired and out of breath. Also to take more time off work if necessary as if I push myself it will take longer. Felt reassured that how I'm feeling is 'normal' for so many other people who've had Covid too.
Popped into Home Bargains while I was waiting for the bus - it was very quiet and I was pleased to see everyone was still wearing masks. Then 10 minutes in the charity shop where I got some harder jigsaws for little one and a few books - a bargain bag full for only £5 - then home again.
I feel shattered now, but that's me for the day - will be a very lazy one.
Gers - the RVI has a modern entrance now - I think it was probably all changed when the new Childrens Hospital was added.
Oh, and my eyebrows are the same - untamable - I blame my dad as his are the same!
Snoozer - thanks for info about Ziffitt - I'll take a look.
Camelot - hope your headache eases - that was the worst symptom for me too, apart from tiredness
Laughed at the jumper for little one to wear to play in the garden! That's what my knitting would be like too
Coxy - good luck with your job application
I'm so lucky where I work - I asked my boss if she needed a sick note but she said she's happy to pay me for now - very good of her when she's having to pay others to cover my shifts. She did point out that there's not much doubt that I caught it at work!
Well, I'm going to put my little bit shopping away
Hope everyone has a good day x

Eyebrows - mine aren't untameable but they seem to be turning white, which is a bit odd as the rest of my hair is staying stubbornly brown. I might have to investigate eyebrow dying to match.8

They annoy me so much that I pluck them out, don't want to be half a Smurf!I've done the monthly banking spreadsheet which has only reinforced my plan to not do any frivolous / whimsical spending in February. Perhaps it'll look better once my occupational pension gets paid.

Afternoon all and hello to a new month. Glad to see the back of January, it's my least favourite month closely followed by this month.
Gusty winds overnight, still here but at least the sun has put in an appearance, feels a bit milder.
Busy morning. Have stripped the bed, washed bedding, vacuumed/turned the mattress, dusted and vac'd carpet. Just to re-make the bed soon when everything's had a good airing. Fridge cleaned and freezer drawers organised (again) ready for tomorrow's delivery. Rubbish out as tomorrow is bin day. Kitchen floor swept and mopped. I think that's enough for today!
Today's meals: dippy eggs and soldiers for brekkie, mashed sardines on toast for lunch, corned beef hash for tea. There's enough for another two meals, boxed and frozen.
TA: Hope you enjoyed your coffee'n lunch and didn't get blown away.
Nels: Good luck with the handbag clear-out. I have a few - not as many as you - but still tend to use only one of them. I'm also watching Trigger Point. I was a bit unsure after Ep.1 but glad I stuck with it this weekend and am looking forward to Ep.3.
Coxy11: Good luck with the job applications.
Scarlet: So pleased your card idea turned out well. Let's hope the dress idea is successful too.
IzzyBee: Well done on the bargain veg bag.
Deleted_User: Commiserations on the lost hearing aid, they're such an expensive item to replace. You've prompted me to add my living room and hall light fittings on the To Do list, they could do with a good clean.
dp1: Pleased you've seen the doc and feel more re-assured. Your boss sounds like a nice person to work for.
Right, coffee time now - I think a chocolate butterfly bun might put in an appearance too!Be kind to others and to yourself too.12 -
Afternoon all. Been busy today doing a lot of cleaning, and the incessant hoovering...I'm amazed at how much comes out of the floor, I've been doing it daily since last Wednesday or Thursday and it's still a fair bit in the handheld. I feel like a complete slob because I only used to do it once a week before this. Anyway, just made some chicken chasseur, got to try out my new kitchen scissors taking the small chicken apart, I sliced open my finger last week on the knuckle that I rest the knife against so I wasn't wanting to use it to try and cut chicken bones. Worked quite well. And I added some dried mushrooms and the rest of the wine that OHs friend left on Saturday night. Waste not etc..Also got some stock cooking with what remained of the backbone and tips so that'll be a noodle soup at some point.OH has set up his new tv, now I need to choose whether to stick with mine ro use his old one. I think his is newer than mine by about five years, but it is bigger. Maybe too big. First world problems eh...Sold a lampshade I bought on FB which didn't work out for the same price I got it for so one more thing out of the house. The area around the porch is beginning to get jam packed with CS bags and tip run stuff. Still no car...Gers, when you say about eyebrows I remember Dennis Healy, so it can't possibly be as bad as that
ruby, hope the new vet helps. Coxy, you and OH both, needing a new job that is. He comes home every day ranting, it's not good for him. Good luck! Izzy, great to have a good dentist, it's so hit and miss...Take care of yourselves today and hugs for the poorlies and cuddly blankets for the weary..

Hi all
Cheeky day off work today so a quick trip to the supermarket and then lunch and wander round our nearest market town with a friend. Nice to get out and about, despite the wind picking up again this afternoon. Seems to be dying down now.
Had a lovely lunch out, a 'dirty' hot dog with pulled pork, BBQ sauce and some curly fries and then a pitstop at my favourite little cafe for coffee and homemade scones. Needless to say, a very light dinner is on the agenda....
Enjoy what's left of Tuesday
