I think We have a problem with birds trapped in the wall of our living room.
It sounds like just one but its really distressing as it sounds like it's flapping around desperately
I think the birds have made a nest under our roof tiles and the babies are maybe falling down a gap. We can hear them right behind the wall but there is no way we can get them out.
Who should I call? Is there also someone else I could call who can fill in the gap under the roof tiles and stop them getting in there in the first place? , the living room is on the ground floor of a two storey house.
Thanks as always

If there is a chimney breast it is most likely that the bird has fallen in the top and is now trapped. If that is not the case there is little you can do without smashing holes in the wall to try to locate it, by which time it will probably be dead anyway (brutal but true). Unlikely to be baby birds at this time of year.

Depending on the age of the house, it's possible/likely that the wall cavity is open at the top, under the roof eaves - I presume this was done for ventilation to keep the cavity dry. I understand that these are no longer left open, but cavity-closers used.As TELLIT says, if there are birds in your cavity, it's a horrible thought but there is nothing realistically you can do about it. Can you get easily into your loft/roof space? Crawl along to the sharp eaves with a torch? Have a gander? (oops, bad choice :-( )1

You could try taking out a low level brick outside to leave an escape route for it.

Her courage will change the world.
Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.0 -
How sure are you this isn't rats in the cavity?0

Could be bats that have been awoke by the uncommonly high temperature's for time of year. If it is you would be ill advised to do anything that disturb's them.0
