Hi I would like to see if I could get some advice on my rights I have a 65 inch oled LG TV that I sent to LG to be repaired for screen burn in which it cost myself £250 which I didn't mind the problem is is that when LG electronics sent my TV that had been repaired back to me on opening the box with the courier it was noticed that my TV was smashed to bits in the box this was due to my TV being placed into a box that was designed for a 75 inch TV and not a 65inch TV also the TV had no protection inside the box other than a silver foil bag put around it I notified LG straight away and they said they would take it back and look into it a few days later LG have informed me that they will repair the TV and give me £50 back off the repair cost I have refused this saying I don't think this is acceptable and I would not except a damaged repaired TV that had been thrown around in a wooden box LG have refused to give me a new TV I would like to get advice on what r my rights on the matter plz and am I in the wrong for refusing to except a damaged repaired TV also I would ask what I could do about it and who I could report this to

Their offer was entirely reasonable and within the legislation, your demand for a new TV has no legal standing and you have no rights to a new TV.Will_turner said:Hi I would like to see if I could get some advice on my rights I have a 65 inch oled LG TV that I sent to LG to be repaired for screen burn in which it cost myself £250 which I didn't mind the problem is is that when LG electronics sent my TV that had been repaired back to me on opening the box with the courier it was noticed that my TV was smashed to bits in the box this was due to my TV being placed into a box that was designed for a 75 inch TV and not a 65inch TV also the TV had no protection inside the box other than a silver foil bag put around it I notified LG straight away and they said they would take it back and look into it a few days later LG have informed me that they will repair the TV and give me £50 back off the repair cost I have refused this saying I don't think this is acceptable and I would not except a damaged repaired TV that had been thrown around in a wooden box LG have refused to give me a new TV I would like to get advice on what r my rights on the matter plz and am I in the wrong for refusing to except a damaged repaired TV also I would ask what I could do about it and who I could report this to
What you can do about it is accept their offer, which will get you a fully functioning TV.
There is no one to report this to as they are rectifying the issue.2 -
You are entitled to a working TV, not a new TV. Any damaged components including screen and casing will be replaced and that is where your entitlement ends.

You want to report them because they’re offering to fix the damage AND give you £50?
Can’t see you getting too far with that one!0
