I've been selling my surround sound system and I'm currently left with:
Pioneer VSX-LX53
KEF Q200c
KEF Q400b Subwoofer
My question is can the amp work with one single speaker? People want to hear it operating but I now can't get the final speaker to output with the others disconnected and gone.
The TV output just keeps switching back to TV speakers after I select Receiver output. The SUB isn't doing anything either in this scenario.
Help appreciated

You should be able to, though never tried to with this model of amp, as never had any amp that ever said anything about if speakers that were programmed as present were actually present or not (outside of when running the setup program).
What source are you using for the demo? TV via ARC or a blu-ray player or....?
You obviously need to ensure that your source is outputting something to the channel that you are connecting the speaker to0 -
Normally having a speaker disconnected there is no problem BUT that deoends upon the amplifier circuitry. So you cannot be sure! From the manual:."Installing your speaker system
At the very least, front left and right speakers only are necessary. Note that your main surround speakers should always
be connected as a pair, but you can connect just one surround back speaker if you like (it must be connected to the
left surround back terminal)"So it is at your own risk.....
