People of MSE please help Amazon are not fulfilling my order

Lovely people of MSE I am at my wits end with Amazon. I ordered a pair of "Mens Hinterradtasche Ortlieb Back-Roller City Bicycle Bag (1 Pair) -Black/Red, 40 Litre" see here.
The order was placed on 8th December and I have paid for the order. Since I have paid for them the order has sat in my account with the message "We will email you when we have an estimated delivery date." This was fair enough when they weren't in stock. They are now showing as in stock but have dramatically increased in price from £65.42 to £141.97. I have tried contacting Amazon and 3 separate customer service advisors assure me that it is out of stock even though it is in stock. I suspect they don't wish to fulfil my order as they sold them to me so long ago at a price they won't make a profit on.
Where do I stand and who will hold them to account? I am tempted to buy the item at the inflated rate and and then cancel the order once they have arrived suggesting that I keep them to fulfil my original order and saving them return and delivery costs

So as always - who did you order from? The one linked is in stock by Amazon EU so you wouldn’t have been able to order from there if out of stock.
Whilst not what you want to hear - Amazon UK are highly likely to fulfil your order when they have stock unless you cancel and end their obligations although as the contract has dispatch clauses it remain possible for them to say ‘We’re no longer able to supply your item and give a refund.’
Simply put - If you want it at that price, you’ll need more patience and a little luck - There’s no conspiracy, underhand actions or illuminati stuff going on. Your not paying market price and that should temper your expectations.

You need to talk to Amazon or the retailer selling the goods as per your order status.didgemaster said:I paid Amazon EU for the product and as shown in the link is in stock with Amazon EULife in the slow lane0
