Euro NTK letter recieved after 14 days of event

Pleasanttrees

It seems as if I'm the 3rd poster here today that has just received a notice to keeper from Euro Carparks later than 14 days of the event.
The date of the event was 15/01/2022 and the NTK was received today 31/01/2022.
My husband overstayed his welcome in a carpark where he thought he had 90 minutes but it was in fact 50 minutes (changed in 2013 - he's not parked there in a long time!).
Should we bother appealing this? They want payment of £60 by the 3rd which is too soon.
Thanks

I am one of the other posters who received one of these after the 14 days. (same dates as yourself).
As they say once an accident, twice a coincidence, three times a pattern. I don't know if there is someone more experienced here who can advise but surely the fact that 3 of us have received this late must hold some weight in seeing off these charges?0 -
My suggestion is to appeal, as I have advised the other two posters, stating the date the NTK actually arrived and that it is therefore not PoFA compliant.
Please contact the other two posters via PM, and each then complain to the PPC individually, and each complain to the BPA individually, but also refer to the other late NTKs by PCN number (with permission of the other posters of course.)
This is obviously at least a fault with the PPC's mailing system, but at worst it is a deliberate attempt to deceive motorists.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks1 -

Neither of you have said what date was on it that they reckon it was posted? This is not a silver bullet even though it 'should' be, on paper.
I am not sure why you think it's an accident or particularly matters. Please don't read the useless MSE article that wrongly says NTKs must be delivered by day 14 (not quite true). Please read the NEWBIES thread.Should we bother appealing this?Of course.
Do you want to sit on your hands, miss the appeal window and not try a complaint to the landowner (easy to cancel most private PCNs that way) and later be sued? PPCs sue people.
Who is the third poster?
Have you all been reading the MSE article instead of the NEWBIES thread on this forum, as it's unclear to me why you are all focussing on the 14 day thing based on a random date received but you haven't said the 'date posted' (that POPLA will look at).
Even if posed late, that doesn't make a NTK 'void' and you can't prove when it arrived if it looks like it was posted in time to be deemed delivered by day 14 (under POFA).
If it wasn't posted in time then it's a non-POFA one (no keeper liability) but still has to be appealed. That's what the NEWBIES thread and the template appeal is for (not the one in the MSE article).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
