@AilieG01 they called me yesterday midday asking for more bank statements as they needed 3 months worth. But heard nothing since so it’s definitely with the underwriters being looked at. I’ve had no text to say a valuation has been booked yet but mine isn’t through a broker I went direct online. I literally feel sick waiting for this outcome x
  • Hi @Tashco

We have just received our mortgage offer- timeline below:

25/01- Mortgage application submitted by broker
26/01 - Broker confirmed we had been approved subject to valuation
    27/01 - Valuation completed
31/01 - Advised that valuation was not completed, HSBC are unsure why their system said it had been and a physical valuation will take place on 2/02.
    2/02 - valuation completed
3/02 - Mortgage offer received via text and email

    Good luck :)

OH YAYYY! Congratulations I bet your over the moon!!! Not too long but when your waiting it seems like forever on pins lol. Exiting stuff! Wish you all the best :) x
  • HSBC have actually been responsive to my application via a broker, 5 days after submission. My broker quoted 38-42 days from application to offer. Whether that holds up waits to be seen. Fingers crossed.
  • @Rosy_Apple congratulations! That's amazing. Out of interest was it a remortgage or a new house purchase?

@Tashco Well things are clearly moving faster than they are implying then. Nothing like the two weeks suggested. Fingers crossed the extra statements are all they ask for.

Did any of you sign a direct debit form the day after your full application or were you requested to fill one in separately down the line?

Our broker got us to sign that before we applied, I think he likes to have all the documentation ready but I have no idea of the order he feeds it to HSBC. Similarly, he asks for fairly extensive bank statements, payslips, P60s etc but not sure whether he provides all of that to HSBC or just has it prepared in case it is needed.
