Old the threads I’ve seen are years old so I’m making a new one. Tsb we’re dragging their feet 2 weeks and they hadn’t even submitted my full application and advisor was too busy for appointment , worried about seller putting house back on market so I applied online in full (after receiving dip) with hsbc. It says ‘decision obtained m’ agreed to full credit check. I want to know What were your timescales recently? And it seems hsbc are doing valuations before they ask for your documents which I find really strange. Anyone going through the same process care to enlighten me . First time buyer and have nooo idea what to expect . Also no chain on either side

Hello,
We have recently applied for a HSBC mortgage- I added our timeline to this thread - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6253485/hsbc-mortgage-application-timelines#latest
Whilst the first page is old, the last posts are more recent.
Our valuation was done after (last Thursday) they had approved us for lending according to the broker. We are waiting for the outcome at the moment.1 -

Yes, speedy so far! The broker anticipates an offer by the end of this week. I just want to know the valuation has come back satisfactorily, it was either a desktop one or drive by as noone visited the property, I can't decide if it is better or worse!0

Ironically- HSBC have just confirmed that the valuation didn't take place on Thursday (they aren't sure why the system suggests it was) and a physical one will be happening on Wednesday this week. I feel like this still isn't a bad timeline.0

Still good, I just received a text to say their 2 weeks behind schedule -_- for new applications . I hope they exaggerated this lol0

Hopefully you will hear something soon and fast! We submitted all our docs today via the uploader and it’s been sent straight to underwriters already, I ’m NERVOUS as anything right now!!! Also pressure doesn’t help our landlords selling our property and we need things moving quickly for us xAilieG01 said:We are also waiting on HSBC.
