WIN TICKETS TO THE ENGLISH NATIONAL OPERA’S PRODUCTION OF LEOS JANÁČEK’S THE CUNNING LITTLE VIXEN
Exploring man’s relationship with nature, Janáček’s profoundly poetic opera comes to the London Coliseum this February.
The Cunning Little Vixen tells the tale of a clever vixen named Sharp Ears. Captured by a local Forester when she is young, she later manages to escape his clutches, but he is forever haunted by her memory.
Janáček’s opera moves through the contrasting worlds of the Vixen and the Forester, showing how one chance meeting can forever change the lives of both.
This new production is directed by up-and-coming director Jamie Manton, following his acclaimed stagings of Paul Bunyan and The Day After for the ENO’s talent development programme Studio Live.
Incorporating elements of Moravian folk music, Janáček’s dramatic score is conducted by the ENO’s Music Director Martyn Brabbins.
An outstanding cast includes soprano Sally Matthews as the Vixen, soprano Pumeza Matshikiza as the Fox, baritone Lester Lynch as the Forester, bass Clive Bayley as the Priest, with the ENO’s Harewood Artists Claire Barnett-Jones (Dog), John Findon (Innkeeper), and Alexandra Oomens (Pepik and Woodpecker).
A Relaxed Performance of The Cunning Little Vixen will take place on 26 February 2022 at 14.30. This performance is ideal for anyone who benefits from a more relaxed environment, from being able to make noise, leave and enter the auditorium as you please, or access toilets or chill-out areas during the performance. This would include anyone with dementia, an autism spectrum condition, sensory and communication disorders or learning disability.
The Cunning Little Vixen is sung in English, with surtitles projected above the stage, and is suitable for all ages.
Leos Janáček’s The Cunning Little Vixen takes place from 18 February – 1 March 2022 at the London Coliseum. Tickets start at just £10 plus £2.25 booking fee per ticket. Under 21s come free.

ENO – Cunning Little Vixen on Classic FM, Jan/Feb 2022 – Specific Rules
1. The Cunning Little Vixen promotion (‘Promotion’) is organised by Global (as defined in the General Terms and Conditions). The Promotion will run from 31st January to 6th February 2022 on Classic FM. Global is the Promoter. The ‘Promotion Partner’ mentioned in these Specific Rules is English National Opera.
2. IMPORTANT: The Promotion is subject to these Specific Rules and the General Terms and Conditions which are available here (together, the ‘Promotion Terms and Conditions’). Entry into the Promotion constitutes acceptance of these Specific Rules and the General Terms and Conditions.
Details of the Promotion:
3. To enter the Promotion, you must go online to the Promotion entry page at classicfm.com, register your details and submit an answer to the multiple-choice question provided.
4. Online entry will open at 00.01 on Monday 31st January 2022 and close at 23.59 on Sunday 6th February 2022. Entries received before or after this time will not be included in the Promotion.
5. Within 2 days of the closing time of the Promotion, all eligible entries will be entered into a draw. Two correct entries will be selected at random and the winning entrants will be contacted by one of our representatives via telephone on the telephone number on which you entered. If such winner does not respond within 2 days from being contacted, they will forfeit their right to the prize and we shall be entitled to select another winner by another random draw. That subsequent winner must respond to the notification email within 2 days of the date on which they are notified, or they will also forfeit the prize.
6. We and the Promotion Partner may publish and publicise your name, image, social media handle and/or profile picture, your nearest geographical location (for example, your nearest city, town or county) and your entry], and we may refer to your and any applicable third party’s (for example a guest/travel companion)] association with the Promotion and/or the prize, in any and all media, worldwide, in perpetuity, for publicity and PR purposes solely in connection with the Promotion.

In relation to winners (and runners up if applicable), you understand that we and our Promotion Partner may: (i) interview you and your guest(s)/travel companion(s) which we may film, photograph and/or record and; (ii) film, photograph and/or record, you and your guest(s)/travel companion(s) in connection with the Promotion, either by telephone or in person, and we may use such films, recordings and/or photographs for publicity and PR purposes in any and all media, worldwide, as often and for as long as we consider appropriate or desirable, in connection with the Promotion. 8. The Promotion is only open to residents of the UK aged 18 and over, and who are based in the UK at the time of entry.
9. Entry is restricted to one entry per person; duplicate entries will be excluded from the Promotion.
10. Winners and their guests must be able to attend ‘The Cunning Little Vixen’ (the ‘Event’) at London Coliseum, on a date of the prize winner’s choice, from the available dates provided.

11. Two winning entrants will each receive 2 x tickets to English National Opera performance ‘The Cunning Little Vixen’, at London Coliseum, at a date of the prize winner’s choice, from the available dates provided to them.
12. Winning entrants will be able to choose from the following performance dates and times:

13. Winners will be contacted within 2 days of winning and asked to choose their preferred date and time from the available options. Tickets will be sent in the form of e-tickets to the winner’s nominated email address.
14. The winner will be bound by third party terms and conditions applicable to the prize (including, without limitation, the ticket terms and conditions set out on the ticket and/or available here https://www.eno.org/terms-and-conditions/ and venue rules.
15. You must comply with all applicable rules, regulations and guidance relating to Covid-19, both in the UK and your travel destination/venue. We are not responsible for your failure to comply with such rules, regulations and guidance. You acknowledge and agree that, without limitation to the provisions of Clause 12 of the General Terms & Conditions, our ability to fulfil a prize and/or perform any of our obligations under the Promotion Terms and Conditions could be affected by an actual or threatened epidemic, pandemic, disease or quarantine and/or any corresponding governmental action, guidance and/or ruling (including but not limited to any Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office guidance) (collectively ‘Covid Measures’).
