£25 cash back when saving through Raisin

The MSE website says the MSE25 promo code is valid until 11.59pm Sun 30 Jan 2022. I successfully used this yesterday 29 Jan to register with Raisin then to open a Charter Bank savings account in order to claim later on the additional £50 welcome reward. When my wife went through the same application earlier today 30 Jan, different email address and details obviously, it said the MSE25 promo code was not valid. Has the code been pulled earlier than midnight tonight? Is the code only valid for one family member, unlikely? Anyone else found this?

This might have been a good thing. You could instead refer your wife through the refer a friend scheme and both earn £25.
  • I had the same problem yesterday - MSE25 just wasn't working.  Very annoying, as I could easily have done it the day before.  Thanks for posting, it was reassuring to know it wasn't just me.

Find a friend who can refer you. That way both of you get £25.

Recently opened a Raisin account to invest based on the £25 cash back offer (plus the £50 new account bonus).
Have received the £50 but not the £25 cash back?
Of more concern is the appalling customer service provided by Raisin. They dont respond to messages (apart from the acknowledgment email).
Checking on Trustpilot they seem to have poor reputation so not sure why MSE recommended this product.

MSE only advise of the best deals/rates, they do not take customer service into account for savings accounts.
There are many threads about problems with Raisin.

I had a similar issue.  I emailed CS who replied that I would receive the £25 as a ‘goodwill gesture’ to be paid within 3 weeks.  However the £25 payment was paid into my Raisin account a week later.

I suggest you contact CS either by email or preferably within the account messaging facility and quote the MSE offer.

My experience, actions and results were as per dali21's reply so it might be worth your while following dali21's advice.

Same here waits to get things sorted, the £50 bonus came in ok but the £25 refer a friend and the £10 bonus boost needed reminding through the system which needed a couple of days or weeks for an answer. I also got another £10 for complaining about a display issue where balance was not correct for a week or so.
It was market leading at the time for the 6 months we had money in there for the total return but did not give reasssurance about their systems or general competance.
