One last quick question. If I tick Yes to earning more than £1000 as it allows me to then register for class 2 NICs, will they charge me £3.05 x 52 and expect me to pay it by midnight tonight?0 -
You can pay from the date that you say that you started self employment. Was it 6th April 2020 or much later?If you do have a liability it is due by Friday. However interest is charged at around 2.8% per annum so not penal. A 5% surcharge will be levied on 28th February though.1

Looks like I wrongly assumed one paid NICs whether in or out of work.0
