How do I play Spotify on an Echo Show?

Hi, I'm rubbish with technology but want to show my OH I can do something they can't ( hopefully!)

We are trying to set up our Amazon Echo Show to be able to play Spotify as at the moment it just says playing ----- radio and then plays a random song.

I have the Alexa app and Spotify premium on my iphone and if I use bluetooth it plays on the Show, but doesn't allow me to control it without using the phone.

I am not sure how to link the phone's Alexa app and the Show as it doesn't show up in devices on the app and I can't work out where the Action button is on the Show which is meant to enter the pairing stage.

Please has anyone got an obvious solution that I am missing?

Thanks RumRat but now I have a new issue!

On the iphone if I try to ask alexa to play a spotify song it says "you will need a connected accessory to play spotify on this device" I have no idea why as Spotify works just fine on the phone.

Can't you just get a CD out of its case... ..!

I'm not an iPhone user, but, suspect that the problem is you haven't connected the show in the Spotify app...

Wow - I fixed it myself, it's a miracle!

I had to factory reset the echo show and during the set up stage it entered the pairing sequence with the app on my phone.

Thanks for all the suggestions but for now it looks like I can play my cheesy music whenevr I like.
